  rewatched this movie and cried. this is a strong beginning to the best animated trilogy unfortunately including shrek :/ the musical themes in this movie are beautiful & tearjerking, the animation improves tremendously from the first movie to the last, stoic says “i should’ve seen the signs” when he first finds out his son befriended a whole ass nightfury and it feels like excellent foreshadowing for his reunion with his dragon loving mommy in the next movie, god i will glaze this trilogy til i die 🗣️
