This is good time but definitely the weakest of the series. The story is a lot cornier than the rest and honestly forgettable almost soon as it's over.
But what sticks are the electric performances of Tucker and Chan, who work really well individually and even better together. Probably the best buddy cop dynamic there ever was. Their pairing justifies this movies existence.
And the action is solid, even though most of it is pretty much copied from Jackie Chan's…
I like this movie a lot, and there's elements of it that I even love, but the story is so bloated and inconsistent that the whole package just does not function well.
The photography, the sound design, costume and makeup, are all elite. I don't know if the batmobile has ever sounded better. All of this creates an atmosphere that bring Gotham more alive then it ever has.
But the story is a complete mess. Things only seen to happen…
This was almost a 3 because I actually had a decent time, was never bored, and the pulpy adventure of the week type feel made nostalgic feels for a time when the MCU could guarantee something serviceable.
But every half decent thing in this is completely and shamelessly recycled from Winter Soldier. Beat for beat at times. They just couldn't be bothered. So I cannot commend any of the noteworthy moments in this movie because of that, therefore a 2.5.…
