  They don't make them like this anymore but NOT in the sense that there aren't mid-budget legal thrillers anymore (there aren't) but mostly because this is just under 2 hours long and you don't feel it at ALL. Scenes move along much quicker than I remember them moving and there's not a single wasted moment. Screenwriting masterclass!!

  The surveillance state implications of 2020's Soderbergh make me very uneasy and it's kind of amazing how he's one of the few directors who's been able to grasp how the digital age has turned information into a sort of currency? I'm just constantly impressed with how prescient he always seems to be with his films. This post-pandemic Rear Window retelling also provides a pretty terrifying and sobering look at the real oppressive corporate mistreatment of assault victims and survivors. That's what makes that ending so damn SATISFYING!!!
