Alien: Romulus 2024
Being a sequel of sequels my expectations were low, which may colour my review. But I am thoroughly impressed. The redemption of the human-alien birth, the homage to the classic practicals combined with great CGI of the aliens for the audience to finally get a thorough look. A classic horror film, with great tension and an incredible performances by the young cast and especially Andy (Jonsson).

The slow fashion of the film industry. Takes you back to the impressive movie magic of practical effects and production design out of this world.
The practical effects of the spaceships and science is nostalgic and should very much be an inspiration for visual effects in today's fast paced movie making. The contrast in human and alien technology is so symbolic and well done. I love how the female lead slowly becomes apparent throughout the film. I would've loved to watch this in 1979.
