I can see why people consider this movie a classic, but it just wasn’t for me. The long stretches of screen time where there was just nothing really happening weren’t enjoyable to me, even if they did have motivations for being kept in the film. Dave and HAL were obviously my favorite part, the tension was crazy! But overall, I lost interest after their conflict seemed to end.
