Whilst not as technically impressive as Return to oz or Wicked this is quite a charming fun film.
The cast are all fun featuring Liza Minelli (Judy Garland's daughter and super star) and her frequent collaborater and friend Mickey Rooney as the Scarecrow! Even Magret Hamilton returns in a different role this time Auntie Em.
The scene where Scarecrow reunites with Dorothy is genuinely very sweet and charming.
Unfortunately some of the songs go on too long and drag the film out, but overall an enjoyable experience

A Plantation Act 1926
The Black Face make up makes this film very uncomfortable to watch but it is important in the history of film.
Whilst I know that it was never Jolson's intention to be racist and he had a great admiration for black performers. Imitating a black person seemingly a slave in the south is very uncomfortable to a lot of people and can be used to ridicule black people.

The Curse of Frankenstein 1957

The storyline in the fim shows Frankenstein about to be excuted and his story on how he got to that point. There is a great scene where he is begging his former assistant Hans to confirm…
