    The Kings of Summer

This movie is just great. Perfectly encapsulated that feeling of freedom that you seek as a young adult. The characters basically do what every kid wants to do at some point in their life. I don’t know why this isn’t more popular. It’s hilarious. Has its emotional moments when needed. Amazing cast. The only real flaw for me in this movie is the actor who plays Patrick but other than that I really enjoy this movie. It just feels good.

Wow. I mean. Wow. This one left me speechless. Been a long time since a movie in theaters hit me this hard. So amazing when a movie fully immerses you into the story. By the end I had my full trust in the filmmakers that however they ended it would be powerful, and I was correct. What an amazing ending. The whole movie was fantastic. Just gripped me the whole time. The performances were spectacular. Writing and directing was world…

Yeah this just wasn’t enjoyable. It had the structure of a romance but didn’t develop the relationship whatsoever. It was so shallow and overly abstract. We literally knew nothing about their relationship making the plot that much more aimless. Really didn’t like the writing. Directing was obviously great with Luca but the whole thing had no focus at all. One of the least focused movies I’ve ever seen. Pacing made no sense. Drew Starkey didn’t talk.

This was fantastic. That’s how you do a biopic. You don’t try to cover their entire life story but instead focus on a specific time period. Love that era of music. Love how much of the movie they just backed off and let the music do the talking. It didn’t insert unnecessary plot. Also Chalamet was just fantastic. He played it so well. He figured out Dylan’s main inflections but didn’t over do it. Also the actress who played Joan Baez was stunning. Also the Newport scenes were awesome. I’d see this again in a heart beat.
