this felt like the same story but with a higher budget and far more extreme kills. this is the first time i’ve seen a rock climbing pick be used to cut a limb (absolutely brutal and incredible at the same time).
additionally, the lighting in this film felt quite insane - being able to see most characters in full clarity with bright lights and reflections for no solid reason took away from the cave ascent which it so heavily and properly developed in the first movie.
worth the watch (must see the first)
