Would 100% recommend this film, brings about multiple sensitive topics (which could’ve been drawn a bit deeper at times and afford a much richer story, in my opinion) and leaves you with feeling as if you’ve watched something that you hadn’t in a while. For added effect, I recommend reading on the original artist which inspired the film Wim Delvoye, very interesting character and adds a couple of layers to the film.
Without going into its political backdrop and setting, I was very pleasantly surprised, albeit its at times corny and uncomfortable moments, it was successfully comical and throughly enjoyable. It felt like a worthy rendition of the original, with all its indian flavours and twists.
