Full Metal Jacket 1987
Outstanding.
You can never be disappointed by Kubrick. The way that war dehumanizes people is represented in a very dramatic, graphic way in this movie. We can see how everything can go wrong, even without going to the war itself, how veterans can be scarred for life. The mental and physical hell that people went through to go fight in a war that couldn’t have happened is horrendous and something to think about. With all that aside, I loved this movie and highly recommend it.
