Climax had great potential but was executed weakly. Other than that, a plot that’s at all times interesting and leaves you continuously questioning Snow’s motives and character though fails to convincingly convey the intended character development.

Children of Heaven 1997
Certainly an enjoyable and endearing way to spend 90 minutes.
The film succeeds in telling the (hardly new) story of the struggles of poverty from solely a child’s perspective and does so in a heartwarming manner.
The film does, however, suffer from rather lacklustre acting all around, a weak plot, and a repetitive eagerness to include yet another unconvincing crying child shot.
Nonetheless, by the climax I did find myself anxiously rooting for our young protagonist to triumph: so it must have done something right.Translated from by
