like a mix of blue velvet and twin peaks. plot is much more straightforward than Lynch’s later films but the irreverent side characters (plenty of familiar faces if you’re a Lynch fan), dramatic soundtrack, and kitschy acting remind you Lynch’s fingerprints are all over this.
