  Equal parts transcendent and infuriating. In 2014, you could write a movie where the line “you hate bloggers, you make fun of Twitter, you don’t even have a Facebook page” was spoken earnestly. Not sure how the one-take gimmick helped anything here. Couldn’t help but think of Hitchcock’s Rope as a far superior use of that gambit to drive tension, anxiety, and paranoia.   Can’t quite articulate why this didn’t fully work for me - maybe it’s because a good portion of the script, especially the first dinner scene, gave me some strong “we should all know less about each other” vibes.
