  I enjoyed the movie’s approach to how things can be misconstrued based on different perspectives. As the audience, some are quick to become irritated by Briony’s lack of good-judgement but it is our job to eventually understand that she was just a child. The plot twist during Briony’s interview was one of the best I’ve witnessed since viewers surely did not expect a love story to be so devastating. With that said, the writers gave the audience an impressively destructive version of false hope for Robbie and Cecilia while proving the damaging effects of war and mis-judgement.

Following
