This was the best film I've seen this year in cinema so far, loved the focus on flying objects, loved the mise en scène, it just all really resonated with me. Of course it was created by an Andrea, as all good things are.

Il Mare 2000
At the beginning I thought this might go somewhere because of the cinematography (which I later found out was done by Hong Kyeong Pyo who frequently works with Bong Joon Ho) which set such a pretty and melancholic mood. However, the plot and dialogue got so corny and pseudo-poetic (?) which kind of annoyed me. I did like the whole idea, but I thought it was executed a bit more poorly than I would have wanted.

Witness for the Prosecution 1957
Although I did of course see the plot twists coming, because I'm a very cunning, savvy and observant individual, seeing them unravelling was rather satisfying. I did take a bit to get into it, but it kept getting more and more interesting. Just a good old classic courtroom drama, very entertaining!

The characters all have there own charm, the music was really adding to the atmosphere. Two broken women finding solace in each other, a perfect recipe for an overall charming film.
