The first time I watched this movie, I thought it was good, but didn’t resonate as much for me. It’s heavy; so I walked away trying to maintain neutrality because of the sort of intense emotions you grapple with in this sort of film. But years later, upon watching it once again, and then again, and then again within a span of a week, I appreciate this movie on the most heartfelt plane for it’s storyline and extremely sensitive acting…

I couldn’t finish this, even from the comfort of my own home. Feminism and womanhood is so much more complicated than this, and while I wanted to like this movie for the sake of women…. It just really is so corny and the plot isn’t interesting. The one star isn’t a reaction to the hype, it truly was just bad, and so obnoxiously obvious.
