The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
Caught a matinee showing last Tuesday with my girlfriend. I was looking forward to my first theatrical experience since the pandemic. The seating chart the night before only had us and another couple in the theater. Imagine our shock when half of it was full when we got to our seats! Wouldn't have been so bad if not for the young kids crying and throwing popcorn around half the time.
Movie was a fun watch though. Crisp Rat didn't annoy…

Knives Out 2019
Knives Out was tons of fun. With how well it was paced, I didn't feel the 130-minute runtime at all.
Can't say I had the plot figured out, but attention to detail in the dialogue and set design will lead you to asking the right questions. Everything pays off in a satisfying way.
Daniel Craig's character had some real Frank Underwood vibes to it, almost as if they had Kevin Spacey in mind when writing the screenplay. They even reference Baby Driver at one point.
Anyone notice how the display of knives kind of looks like a donut?
