Should have cut the first 35 minutes or so of their boring young love shit, it could have been a montage or some brief flashbacks and that would have conveyed the same story but *better*. There was a scene where they go to a lake and she's reading poetry or some shit and I was like "am I watching a perfume commercial?" It felt very superficial and Saltburn-esque, like here's some hot people with cool lighting, very little character development. The opera scene was badass and fun, but that's over an hour into the movie.
