  I enjoyed this but feel like it’s not as good as I remember it. It’s so close to being a solid, 4 star “very good” movie but I feel like the plot is a little too convoluted to really come together. If this had been a little more tight then I think it’d be an example of a movie that’s better than the book.

  That being said, I still enjoyed it, and it’s been too long since I’ve seen it. Amazing cast.

  Welles direction and cinematography are superb and there are lots of great details. Would rate higher but plot is thin and pretty absurd. 

  I can see this as an interesting take on guilt over U.S. foreknowledge over the details of the Holocaust.

  Saw this in college. Thought I’d give it a rewatch. Not that good. Probably not worth your time.

  Good: Winona Ryder...had a huge crush on her at this time. Tom awaits soundtrack is great. The Paris and Helsinki stories are pretty good.

  Bad: Winona Ryder as a tomboy or whatever isn’t doing it for me. LA story is bad. NY story actually not that bad. Rome story is sacrilegious and I refused to watch again once I remembered. The story…
