Within the movie’s first ten minutes, I declared that William Katt would eventually show up in a most cocky and belligerent manner at the beginning of the movie‘s second act, and damn if I wasn’t right. All he needed to make the visual perfect was an airline cocktail in his hand. 😂 😂 😂 I love how he absolutely refuses to shed his skimpy Los Angeles attire until he realizes he may be relinquishing himself to hypothermia or something more devastating. He soon wore out that black turtleneck and jean jacket. 😂 😂 😂

The Hitcher 1986
I can’t believe I slept on this one for three decades. THIS is the kind of movie I live for. The surrealism; the synth score; the nightmarish landscape; the almost faceless and nameless characters—it’s all just so damn perfect. While the story itself seems simple, it’s the frame of mind you view it in that makes all the difference. Instant rewatch value.
