I don’t review movies often, but this movie gave me lot to say.
First I want to say that the scene where he is covering up his bruises with shoe polish, after he has been beat, for being a gay and black man. Is truly heartbreaking. But that’s as deep as this movie goes.
We are barely scratching the surface level on racism in the 1960s. It’s explained and showed to us in simple terms. We don’t get any meaning…
