I liked it. Timothée Chalamet and Edward Norton gave great performances, the cinematography and sets were beautiful, and the screenplay was tight.
I was honestly shocked that Timmy played the guitar, the harmonica, and sang every song himself. He absolutely nailed it. But as a whole, the movie kind of falls flat. The first half is just people staring at him in awe as he effortlessly creates another timeless classic. It doesn’t actually get interesting until the last half hour.
Some great elements, some weird choices, but overall, it had its moments.
