I felt as if I could see myself in this film, although I wish not to experience it, the acting truly made this movie.
It felt relatable when it needed to be, romanticised when it needed to be, and gut wrenchingly symbolic when I didn't want it to be.
The performances were great. The chemistry was amazing. Pugh and Garfield did well to differentiate each stage of their character's relationship with varying levels of chemistry and physicalisation.

While this movie has the standard ghibli struggle of exposition and lack of explanations for its events, it still captures that Hayao Miyazaki flair that makes his movies so fantastical and engrossing.
It rewards the audience who theorise throughout the movie with simple answers to questions right at the end.
