Quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen.
Steven Seagal plays Sasha Petrosevich, an operative somehow for the CIA, FBI, KGB, and US Marshall’s simultaneously, who goes undercover in a prison called “New Alcatraz” to try and bust an organised crime boss who we never actually see, who supposedly shot his wife in a car-jacking. Also Ja Rule is there.

Saw this film on a flight shortly after it came out and I gave it 4.5, but the final .5 was delivered to me like a full body gut punch at the PCC last night. My trains home were cancelled and I ended up trapped in London and faced with a grueling 3 hour commute the next day and you know what? I’d do it all again, wouldn’t change it for the world, because nothing could make me regret seeing…
Unfortunately my friends decided to watch the cinematic cut on Netflix rather than paying to watch the extended edition so I was conned out of several minutes of Justin Finch-Fetchley dialogue and character development.
