Lovely paper stop motion animation segments, antithesized from the CG animation scenes to tell the story within the story.

Close-Up 1990
I watched this film at a screening at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto as an accompaniment to the Abbas Kiarostami: Doors without Keys exhibition. This film is an artful reconstruction of a true story. The characters are portrayed by the actual people from the event. It manages to be not only a documentary film but also in many ways an investigative self portrait of the filmmaker. As with other Kiarostami films, it captures raw human emotions that feel genuine.

The Intouchables 2011
A treasure of a true story. It really spoke to me about racial and class tensions in Paris, and the riots there not so long ago, and though these issues seem to prevail, how individuals can choose to rise above it. It also showed how important it is to treat those with disabilities as normal people. Plus, it was very funny!

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
An Asimovian plot where robots ignore their prime directives set in fantasy theme parks far more immersive than any actual themed vacation or virtual reality experiences available today.
