A very beautiful, heartfelt, yet sad and relatable little animated film about a friendship between a dog and a robot that they can’t maintain forever. It depicts themes like loneliness, loss, friendship and love effortlessly, without needing any dialogue.

For me, this film is about losing a friend due to variable circumstances. Both try to find new friends, and eventually, they succeed. But they also change while doing so. Still, they think about each other from time to time. I guess you could also apply that to romantic relationships, though.

I’ve never seen any Dune film nor read any of the books, but this is how I imagine it to be (at least some parts of it, though). Also, without saying too much: the Ohmu in this reminded me of the creepers in Mickey 17 (especially the storyline with the baby).

As for the film itself, it’s great. It has an important message, the soundtrack is nice, and the animation is as good as always. I don’t know what else…

All in all, it isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s nothing too special, and I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again. The storyline is pretty basic, and the only unique thing is that the main character can’t feel any physical pain. There are some other twists in the plot, but they aren’t particularly remarkable. The jokes are pretty fun, the action is good, and overall it’s a fun watch, but the story drags in some parts. Once the inciting incident…
