Honestly, incredible movie. I loved the different angles and shots, and I loved that it was filmed like a documentary rather than the previous styles that were used after WW2. Really clear mirroring in the story throughout the whole movie, the end being like the beginning. And the subtle themes of death and mirrors throughout brought tension that is only really noticeable throughout multiple watches. Great actress, even though she was a known model at the time. Umberto D was a cute little film about an old man trying to stay in his apartment while also taking care of his little dog. This whole film feels like a minor fever dream, the beginning sets up the main plot of the landlady trying to kick Umberto out of his room, with the maid trying her best to help him. We see immediately in the movie how this could be a major problem due to the lack of funds…
