We Live in Time 2024
I'm glad to say this film has pleasantly subverted my expectations. Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh bring something surprising to what feels like a familiar genre. Their subtly magnetic performances bring comedy, lightness, and soberness to this lovely film about love, grief, and loss.
Pugh is befitting for the role of a confident, ambitious, and unapologetic heroine. As a woman (and a feminist), I find it exciting and refreshing to see female film characters redefine how feminity is portrayed on screen to mean tenacity and strength.Translated from by
