  This is the most interesting Catholicism has ever been. what the HELL

  Apparently in the novel, Cardinal Benitez is Filipino. I know this is a heavy bias but what an opportunity for representation missed being that shelters for abused children and women are increasingly more crucial right now.   I loved this so much. On the advent of turning 25, this feels somewhat relevant to whatever life is right now. It’s both a manual for living and for writing screenplays (not containing deus-ex machinas - sorry Mr Roy)
