a mesmerizing film that held me from start to finish. the dialogues are sharp and engaging, keeping my attention unwavering throughout. the cinematography is impeccable, with each shot meticulously crafted. Sandra Hüller delivers a stellar performance, and Milo Machado-Graner is equally outstanding. both are insanely good.
however, the ending left me somewhat frustrated. while i appreciate the suspense and the director’s choice to leave certain elements ambiguous, i wished for a bit more closure. subtle clues are interwoven into the dialogue and situations, but the conclusion felt slightly lacking in resolution.

Wong Kar-wai masterfully captures restrained desire, immeasurable sadness, and uncertain intimacy. every element, from the framing, color, soundtrack, and screenplay, works in perfect harmony, creating a deeply evocative experience. the use of color is especially symbolic, enhancing the film’s atmosphere and emotions. what makes this film truly special is how it conveys intimacy without the need for kisses or sex. every glance, every silence, and every carefully composed frame speaks louder than words.
