What Genre do you want to watch? Anora has it all. Which feels refreshing, because it somehow works. It switches between Drama, Party movie (I expected them to play the project x song at one point), Road Movie and some would even argue RomCom. In some way it reminded me of Uncut Gems, just less stressful and less anxiety inducing. Still, there is a lot of screaming and a lot of energy, which especially Anora holds throughout the whole movie…

There is a tendency in queer cinema to include an age gap between the two love interests, which I sometimes don't get, but it does make sense here and it is between to adults (Not like in Call Me by Your Name). It lead to some interesting conversations and showed the struggles of different generations of gay men. All very natural, in general the dialogues are great.
