  This is by far the best book to film adaptation I've ever seen. Reading the book two days prior to the screening definitely allowed me to appreciate the art of the narrative more than if I were analyzing the story from a first impression.   Most fucked up movie I've seen in a bit... But I loved it?? It's one that I know will stay in my mind for time to come. I commend the director for making creative decisions that normally wouldn't work but makes it work beautifully in the most unsettling way, like the comic relief in between the most disturbing scenes or the brill depiction of intoxication.
