Happy fucking Valentine's Day to me.

Does it hold up to the original? No. But is it fun? Yes. Watching Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart play off each other is always funny, but Jack Black stole the show as Bethany. The teenager girl voice and mannerisms had me cackling.

Bobby Cannavale was a hokey and fun video game villain. And I liked all the little touches they made to seem more video game-y. Visuals were cool and the stakes were there.

Mostly, I'm a sucker for the whole unlikely friends thing. Overall, a fun time.

Not sure why everyone hates this movie. It was a cute little period piece. Good acting, fun fourth wall breaks, great costumes and scenery. I'm not an Austen purist by any means, but still, this was a fun movie.
