I'm thinking about the moment with the deer and the railroad tracks. Being 12 is different. You start recognizing certain dim parts of life more, and begin understanding memories in a different light. All of that watching and noticing manifests in moments like the deer encounter. We all contain thousands of moments like that within ourselves--memories that only exist between us and our surroundings. It makes me question if these recollections are even real or not sometimes.

Poor Things 2023
This reminded me of the White Clown in Fahrenheit 451. Entertainment is becoming more and more violent and sexualized because people are so desensitized to disturbing media. This movie made me feel ill! Maybe that was the point, but everything in it felt really superficial and grossly provocative just to get a reaction from jaded viewers. I think that the messages that the filmmakers were trying to get across could've been portrayed in a much more effective manner without including copious violent/sexual images. The color grading and visuals were cool but this felt like two and a half hours of weird porn.
