  I have watched this before but was more engaged this time. acting by all was very natural which is something i really like about the majority of olivier assayas films. some highlights were maggie’s exploration of character vs. self and the revelations of what women and chinese women specifically encounter in the industry - overall great film about film

  Interesting to see Nic Cage in a more emotional toned down state for parts of this- depictions of sexual violence were tactful, which surprised me as the subject matter was as disturbing as it gets.
