They had something really good for a moment there, but they ruined it bc they took the Marvel aproach of spelling everything out for the viewer as if we're too stupid to understand nuance. The directing and the photography were just soulness, everything was formulaic and added nothing to the story. And please omg chill with the music, if ur playing music for the entire film then it doesn't mean anything anymore
This could have been a great movie, I hope someone in the future takes the story and treats it with the nuance and artistic integrity it deserves
Viola Davis was amazing obviously
