A great film! Nothing felt gratuitous, everything felt earnest and authentic. I believed every character and understood their motivations. All around fantastic physical acting. Loved the cat actors, too. A great addition to the vampire movie genre.

As someone who has been exhausted by remakes, sequels, and bringing musicals to the big screen, i did not have high expectations for this movie. However, the primary cast of Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and maybe I'll add in Jonathan Bailey, did a wonderful job. The secondary cast was a little too cartoonish in their acting for my liking. The music was amazing, the costume design was lovely, and the land of oz was beautiful. I think the movie could have easily been shaved down to 2 hours. I don't think I'd see it again, but I'm glad I caught it in theaters
