What a goofy little voice you have, Mr. Pattinson.

I love the theme of double consciousness that you might say is explored here. How are we different in various iterations of ourselves? What makes us us on a base level? How do we embrace and push away certain of our own qualities? And to what extent does capitalism (or the nature of our labor) create those attributes?

Bong Joon Ho, you’ve done it again!

There were several moments during this movie that I actively would have shouted “PERIODDDDD!!!” if not for the fact that this was in the theater.

The thrillerification and the politicization of the Catholic Church… the insane way in which they just vote in circles until the end… every twist, every secret, every action that makes our dear protagonist question faith, and oh! The ending. We can only presume that God’s hand led them to that Pope.

I somehow got an advance screener link for this movie from the email newsletter of my local Taiwanese restaurant.

I gasped so many times in this movie. It’s so wild.

Oh this little film has my heart. I laughed out loud. Hard. There’s something so unique about two family members (cousins in this case), living two totally different experiences, but at the same time knowing how deep their bond to each other is.

I would have watched 3 hours of this, I’m not kidding. Give me a sequel.
