The Killer 2023
The concept is pretty cool…an assassin who seems to be at war with himself and his principles possibly more than anything.
The execution…? Eh. Good but at parts kinda dragged and ultimately the story fell somewhat flat. I think there could have been more to the main character that could have helped build the tension between himself. Overall still a solid movie, but this one was probably rushed out from Netflix.

The Place Beyond the Pines 2012
The first act is really great. It was raw. Ryan Gosling kills it. It quickly takes a turn for the worse though in the second act. Bradley cooper’s character just falls flat. The corruption story line just wasn’t that interesting. Ultimately, it’s Bradley Cooper’s kid that almost ruins the entire movie in the third act. He’s cringy and annoying as hell. The ending was okay. It starts phenomenal but then just quickly turns forgettable.
