Art is the thing. It always has been. It is the thing that reminds us that we are here, and that we matter. It exists in all corners. It is the thing that will save us. 16mm is my favourite thing ever and I think it is so effective in this film. What a beautiful experience. I feel enriched.

This movie feels essential to me. It isn’t perfect but it is one that I think everybody should watch at least once in their lives. It is that kind of movie that just feels like a mirror. The New Wave influence makes it so intimate, like it is a story told to you by a friend. Like you filmed it yourself.

I hate my life. I hate cinema. This was all a big fucking mistake.

One must imagine the STD Kidman's character came down with after fucking on Dickinson's sweaty, unwashed body. Dickinson's characterization is accurate. Do some of you really live like…
