  Finished reading Lolita today, which reminded me a lot of the book American Psycho, which reminded me that I wanted to see the movie to see if it was better.

  I hated the book because it was so graphic and there was absolutely no payoff or point to the story. The satire definitely played out much better on screen than on paper and I thank Mary Harron for not adding in all the details of the gruesome murders, yet the plot and humor were still not my cup of tea. 

  Anyways, I must go return some video tapes.
