While the core of the film is solid - the direction, performances, photography and score - I could not help but feel the film lacked focus. The last part of the movie did not bring the thematic coesion I was desperately looking for.

Great movie and existentialist message. Amazing Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Fully embraces its campiness and it's all the better for it.
HOWEVER,
I know you want to deliver absolutely correct messages about women and what society expects of them. But having characters turn to the camera and spoon-feed the message to the audience is just appalling.
Also, Gloria and Sasha's characters are rushed af.
