After only seeing Ponyo and Spirited Away (three times), I FINALLY watched another Studio Ghibli film. The story's relevancy to real life was incredibly profound. I cried. Watched this with a man whose ex-gf sent me a "hey girly text" that said she picked up the rest of her stuff from his house that same night. I didn't care at all, was not relevant to me whatsoever. Princess Mononoke forever. She will heal all wounds.

I never watched this when it came out and the Christians went rabid for it, but decided it was time to see what all the hubbub was about.
This movie was horrible, maybe even worse than I was expecting to be quite honest. But it was hilarious to watch too.
Highlights:
- when the Muslim-turned-Christian girl's father slaps her in the face for reading the bible and she shouts "Jesus Christ is my lord and savior!" I was shook.

As a second year law student, this iconic, historical piece of cinema about the American legal system was necessary for me to watch. I watched it with someone born in Long Island whose New York accent is worse than mine, a Virginian.
I am giving this 3.5 stars because I kept saying "this is so unrealistic" re: legal issues and procedure. And the judge was annoying, but nonetheless a good characterization of a southern judge who has far too much…
