As one of my highly anticipated watches of this year, I must say when comparing Maxxxine to X and Pearl this sadly just didn't live up to it's predeccesors. The first half of this movie was a vibe, very 80s and classic 80s horror as well but nearer to the end it just felt like it fell short. Kinds of Kindness 2024
An anthropology of the absurd which was all about how far will we go for the things we love, being accepted and our communities that we live in. Yorgos does it again. The acting was phenomenal throughout and each storyline was so different, yet so connected to one another. Yorgos is known for spectacular films and so to get three short films all packed in one was every fans dreams. What did we expect from the genius behind films such as The Lobster, The killing of a sacred deer and Poor things? He delivers everytime.
