The worm living in my head doesn't let me watch as many films as I'd like to.
I often forget I have this.
Third and last part of the small David Lynch fest being held in my city (I missed the second one, lol).
I had watched this film almost ten years ago, and I didn't even remember the ending by now. I went with a friend today, and oh boy was it a ride. A very sick dream (like everything Lynch does).
First part of the small David Lynch fest being held in my city.
Amazing to hear Lynch talk about his first years of artistic life ("the art life"), his passion for painting and for cinema. It sort of felt like he was right there in the room with us. Also, the film itself, with the visuals and the sound, is very immersive. I loved it.
Pretty film, though it felt too short, despite it seeming like it was trying to be slow. I think it would've benefitted from a slightly longer duration.
Sad and heartfelt, nonetheless.
He is a "chimera" himself, a shade, a dream that walks through people's lives and comes back unannounced and when least expected. A very oneiric journey, loved the symbolisms and the dots connecting different parts of the story. Went in with high expectations and was not disappointed in the slightest.
