  should be so my shit (lesbian longing & historical murder set in massachussetts) but lacks...friction? sensuality? idk what word I'm looking for. when I was a kid and visited the lizzie borden house I was terrified because I didn't understand what'd drive someone to maul another person like that, and now as an adult I can think of hundreds of reasons. I guess I wish this movie, or any other movie about borden I've seen, was able to bridge the gap between seeing her as a person and effectively depicting terror born from acts of rage
