The rudest town in America harasses a good intentioned basketball coach. Sadly, the basketball coach then hires the town drunk and doesn’t foresee any issues occurring. Spoiler: issues occur. The basketball is filmed in an exciting way but the story jumps around too quickly and I found most of the adults to be loathsome.

I have lived my life attempting to avoid people like the titular character. Mikey Madison is terribly brilliant at playing a woman who stresses me out to no end. The swagger she walks with, the lack of fear in her bones, and the 0-100 escalation that inhabits her daily existence left me slack-jawed throughout this entire movie. I cannot believe how satisfying this film was. This had the grit of a violent movie like Saving Private Ryan, the charm of a movie like Road House, and builds on the idea of what a Hollywood epic like Die Hard should be. Arnold is one of the most captivating on-screen figures I've ever seen. He was incredible at being a minimalist in T1. Here, the dial is turned up and he thrives at doing the most. God, this was so incredible.

A shockingly pleasant performance from Bill Murray that finds a balance between outright comedy and profound flick. I felt like no time was wasted in this movie. Every scene belonged. Murray was such a force in this film, the only person that truly mattered, but the supporting cast held up their end of the bargain. It’s a shame global warming has ruined when seasons traditionally happen. For a 1993 comedy, that is what ages the worst. All in all, a stellar film.
