As stoked as I was to go to this film, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect; it ended up being more concert than documentary, but it really did feel like I was seeing them live (an item I have yet to check off my bucket list).

I’m a sucker for horror, especially films under the detective/serial killer subgenre, and this was a breath of fresh air. Stunning cinematography, and the actors really showcased their talents here. Nicolas Cage made my skin crawl as Dale Ferdinand “Longlegs” Cobble, and Alicia Witt perfectly captured the vacant-eyed, disconnected look of a hoarding religious zealot.
Things got a bit convoluted at the end, but one has to use their imagination. Overall, I enjoyed this!
Ugh, I wanted to like this film, but this just didn’t do it for me.
I give the actors kudos for their effort, but the dialogue felt forced and uncomfortable, and the bear monologue at the end had me eager for the movie to wrap up; I would have walked out if there weren’t only about ten more minutes to sit through.
