Definitely should’ve watched the directors cut because a lot was cut out and it made for a pretty confusing plot for me. Watching the theatrical cut I assumed this was about schizophrenia for the entire film until the end, while supposedly in the directors cut it’s more a mystical fantasy from the start. Still very well made either way and I love Jake Gyllenhaal always
