Listen horror has never ever been shy to do things like this specifically in the slasher genre and while I extend my charitably this is just god awful I’ll say it’s shot actually quite well for a smaller film which I wouldn’t hold against I also love smaller films that aren’t shot well.
However the kills, the plot, and characters are just boring and uninspired at times I will say it’s a somewhat interesting premise and way better than the Mickey Mouse slasher but damn is it rough
All aura and no substance
I love how they decided to bring some of the worst elements of the games (modern day stuff) and make that 65% of the film and the other 35 is past stuff not even to get into picking a kinda boring time period . The games have gotten better with modern day stuff especially with the RPG games but mannnnnn no one wanted this much and Fassbender kinda just sucks in this role it captures nothing of what makes the games good.
Furiosa adds much more depth to fury road it’s a great film and hope we get more mad max films due to this whether it’s a few years or decades I will always cherish this ATJ as Furiosa is just great. Many will complain she doesn’t have much dialogue but that just added more for me (and should for others) Chris also did fantastic in this usually don’t care for him in many roles but in this he was perfect.…
Did we necessarily need a plankton film in the SpongeBob franchise where a supporting cast member gets a backstory ? No but if I had a nickel for every time this happened I’d have three which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened thrice
The film isn’t that bad but it has nothing on the OG film lots of nods and references to the cartoon series and it’s two decade existence and hey who doesn’t love a little music with SpongeBob. Love how Plankton and Krabs are two sides of the same capitalistic coin
